How do I edit my adverts?
Follow the steps below to edit your listing:
- Click on the profile logo up in the right corner of the Pets4Homes start page (or go to the left sidebar on your account page) and select "My Adverts"
- For the advert you want to update, click the "Edit" button to perform the desired changes (see picture below).
- If you want to edit information for a specific pet, click on "Manage litter." (You can edit names, prices, and descriptions whenever needed.)
- Once you're finished, click "Submit."
- Select any boost option you would like to apply to your advert, or none if you do not wish to boost your listing.

How do I close my advert?
In order to make sure the adverts on Pets4Homes are up to date, it is very important that you close your advert when it is no longer relevant (for example, if you have sold your pet, or you no longer provide the service advertised).
- On your account page, go to "My Adverts" on the left sidebar.
- Click the "Close" button on the advert you wish to remove (see picture below).
- Click "Confirm" via the pop-up to close your advert - your advert will now be"Inactive."
Closing your advert by mistake
If you closed one of your adverts by mistake and would like to restore it, go to your Inactive adverts and click "Re-open."
How do I re-open inactive adverts?
Adverts become inactive automatically after 60 days, or if you choose to close the advert yourself. You can re-open them by going to My Adverts and selecting "Inactive," then click the "Re-open" button. Your advert will now be sent to our team for review, just like a newly created advert.
How do I see how many views my advert has received?
Advert performance
You can see how your adverts are performing by going to My Adverts > Advert performance

Quick statistics
You can also quickly view the total number of views and favourites your advert has received in two ways by going to ‘My adverts’ and looking at the advert preview. The number after the eye symbol refers to the total amount of views your advert has received since you published it. The number after the heart symbol refers to how many users have marked your advert as a favourite.
How do I manage my litter?
Litter Management is designed to help you manage your litters and individual pets for sale. This update makes it easier to organise, update, and showcase your pets to potential buyers.
This feature allows you to provide specific details for each pet in your litter, including a photo, name, gender, description, and individual price. If you prefer not to use this feature, that’s okay - your advert will still be listed. However, adding these details can make your advert stand out more to potential buyers.

Can I use this for individual pets or adult animals?
Yes! The litter section will automatically include a single entry if you're advertising one pet for sale.
How do I manage pet availability?
We’re developing a feature that will allow you to update the availability for each pet. It will soon be available in "My Adverts." For now, to let your buyer's know if pet has been sold you can add "SOLD" or "RESERVED" to the name of any pet which is no longer available.
Can I accept Pet Payments for individual pets?
Not yet, but we are working on this option.
How to update your existing listing with Litter Management
- We’ve created draft versions of your currently live listings with this feature already included, so it’s easy for you to review, edit, and publish updates.
- Go to the advert you want to update under "My Adverts." Click "Edit."
- Then click "Manage litter"
- Select "Click to add information." This allows you to update individual pet details such as names, photos, prices, and descriptions. You can also preview any changes before publishing them.
- If you make a mistake, don’t worry. You can adjust most details, or even remove one pet for sale if needed (confirmation will be required). For most changes, you can edit the details directly in the advert before or after it has been submitted.
- When finished, just save and publish. If you decide not to provide specific details for a pet, placeholders (e.g., default names and prices) will be displayed instead.
Limitations and Constraints
There are some restrictions on what can and can not be changed once you upload your listing:
- The order of pets in the list is random right now.
- Only one photo per pet is allowed right now, and it must be chosen from your existing litter gallery. You may choose to use the same photo for multiple pets.
- Descriptions for individual pets are limited to 255 characters.
- Changing the breed or date of birth of a litter is not permitted. Additionally, the litter size, gender, and number or males or females in older litters (above 3 weeks for dogs or 6 weeks for cats) is restricted for welfare and safety purposes.
