At Pets4Homes, your security is our top priority. We use a secure, passwordless login system — every time you sign in, we send a one-time passcode (OTP) to your registered email address. This means there is no static password that can be stolen or guessed, giving your account built-in protection on every login.
You can secure your account further by adding two-factor authentication (2FA) via your phone. If you have a verified phone number and have explicitly activated 2FA, you will receive an SMS challenge in addition to the one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email inbox.
How does our login work?
When you log in to Pets4Homes:
- Enter your registered email address on the login page.
- We send a one-time passcode (OTP) to that email address.
- Enter the passcode to access your account.
Note: Each passcode is valid for a short time and can only be used once. If it expires, simply start the login process again to receive a new one.
Why is this secure?
Because there is no fixed password, there is nothing for a third party to steal or guess. Your login is verified through access to your registered email inbox every single time — making unauthorised access significantly harder.
Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) via phone
For an extra layer of security, you can activate 2FA using your phone number. Once enabled, signing in will require you to complete both steps:
- An SMS challenge sent to your verified phone number.
- A one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your registered email address.
To use this feature, your phone number must be verified on your account and you must have explicitly activated 2FA in your account settings.
Logging in via Facebook, Apple, or Google
If you log in via Facebook, Apple, or Google, those platforms handle authentication on their end. You can enable additional security options (such as their own two-factor settings) directly within those platforms.
